Garmin has introduced a new family of sports watches called the Fenix 7 Series, which includes the models Fenix 7, Fenix 7S, and Fenix 7X.
Fenix 7S and Fenix 7 are available in three variants: standard, with a solar panel under the screen (Solar Edition), and the most premium version with a solar panel, a titanium case, and sapphire glass (Sapphire Solar Edition). All Fenix 7 watches feature an advanced GPS module with L5 frequency support for precise location tracking even in remote areas. The top-tier models with sapphire glass can receive signals from GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou simultaneously.
In terms of software features, Fenix 7 smartwatches introduce a "Real-Time Stamina" mode, which tracks your exertion and analyzes your remaining energy during workouts, providing recommendations in real-time. The watches can also estimate the time needed to complete specific running distances (e.g., 5 km, 10 km) and display the data as a graph.
Another new feature is the "Up Ahead" mode, which notifies users about the location of aid stations, ascents, water sources, and other points of interest during runs or rides. There's an option to set a waypoint along the route, and the watch will alert the wearer once it's reached.
The new watches can track time, distance, speed, pace, and heart rate during walks or runs, as well as record GPS tracks during workouts.
