Traditionally, Samsung introduces consumers to devices with top-of-the-line specifications with the release of each new tablet lineup, making a serious bid to compete with Apple. The "big brother" in the Tab S9 series is the gadget with the "Ultra" suffix.
Technical Specifications
All devices in this series are equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The chipset has proven itself to be one of the most energy-efficient to date, with no significant heating issues.
The "Ultra" distinction lies in the fact that the model's RAM starts from 12 GB, with the option to choose even up to 16 GB. Changes have also been made to the internal storage, as the top model can be purchased with 1 TB, and there is also a slot for a memory card up to 1 TB. The tablet comes with Android 13. In standard mode, the screen can display up to 3 applications, arranging them in any convenient order.
The tablet has received the maximum possible battery capacity, which almost no manufacturer can boast of – 11,200 mAh.

The front camera is 12 MP plus an ultra-wide-angle also at 12 MP, with a maximum viewing angle of 120 degrees. None of the models in the series have the latter module.
Design
The tablet, like all representatives of the S series, has a concise and restrained design. The device has sharp, thin edges, and rounded corners. The body is aluminum, and the display is covered with the highest quality protective glass - Corning Gorilla Glass.
There is a small recess on the back of the body, with a magnetized surface, for attaching the stylus. The tablet is available in 2 color options: beige, graphite. The level of protection of the body against dust and moisture is IP68 standard, which means that nothing will happen to the tablet if it ends up in water at a depth of up to 1.5 meters and stays there for up to 30 minutes. Even in 2024, not every manufacturer offers such a high level of protection for their devices.
Display
The tablet has a display size like that of a medium-sized laptop – 14.6 inches, with a resolution of 1848x2960 pixels, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, providing maximum graphic smoothness.
The display features an in-display fingerprint scanner.
It is too early to say that the "Ultra" is a full replacement for a laptop. There are still many programs that cannot be installed on a tablet. Nevertheless, the device turned out to be interesting, powerful, efficient, and stylish.
