In September of last year, Apple presented this model. Traditionally, the new gadget received interesting innovations and became more powerful compared to its predecessor.
The first thing that catches the eye is the body and frame. Indeed, they are made of titanium, which is used in the manufacture of Mars rovers. The manufacturer has not offered this before. In comparison, the 14 Pro model is made of surgical steel.
The second interesting innovation is the Action button instead of the usual switch like its predecessor. The highlight of the button is that it can be programmed for your needs. For example, it can turn on the camera, open a specific application, turn on the flashlight, or VPN.
The screen diagonal of both models is 6.1 inches. However, last year's version is slightly smaller and lighter. In fact, the 15 Pro is a bit thinner and weighs 19 grams less.
The color palette has changed significantly, all with a titanium tint: blue, black, white, and natural titanium.
At the time of its release, the 15 Pro was recognized as the most powerful and fastest mobile phone processor with its 6-core A17 Pro. And this phone received such a powerful chipset. The graphics card received an additional core, now totaling six, whereas the 14 version has only five. It can be confidently said that the central chipset works 10% faster than its predecessor, and the graphics 20% faster.
The RAM has been increased to 8 GB. The volume of permanent memory, as always, offers choices ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. But there is another feature – hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Thanks to this, console games can be played on the phone, such as Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Village.
There are no fundamental differences in the cameras of both versions, except that the main camera of the 15 model has 24 MP, while its predecessor has half. The newer model has the ability to switch between focal lengths: 24, 48, or 35 mm.
The software update of the 15 Pro allows for clearer photos in low light and even at night. Thanks to AI, the camera can now automatically determine who is in the frame. If it's a person, cat, or dog, it immediately switches to portrait mode.
Another important feature is that the newer smartphone can play 3D video in conjunction with the Apple Vision Pro headset, which was already released in 2024.
