If you regularly track updates for all Apple gadgets, you can quickly get confused. The company regularly releases new series, with significant and minimal innovations. Last fall, users were presented with the iPhone 15. This immediately raises a lot of questions about whether to upgrade from version 14 to 15. If you look closely at the specifications, the newer model of the phone has received a lot of new improvements, for which the phone is worth considering for purchase.
The 15 model received a modern A16 Bionic chipset, while the 14 only had A15. The amount of RAM in both models is the same and is 6 GB, as well as the storage size, optional: 128, 256, or 512 GB. If noticeable changes cannot be seen during standard smartphone operation, games already run much faster, even with bright and colorful graphics.
There are no key differences in design between the 15 and 15 models. Aluminum body, module with 2 cameras with diagonal arrangement. But if you look closer, the edges of the 15 version have become more rounded, and the bezels have become smaller.
The newer model received a matte palette and is available in 5 shades: pink, green, yellow, blue, and black.
The diagonal of both phones is the same - 6.1 inches, with brightness up to 2000 nits for the 15 version, while for the 14 it reached a maximum of 1200 nits. With such brightness, you definitely won't have to squint at the screen even on the beach on the sunniest day.
Both phones have oleophobic coating with Ceramic Shield protective panel, with enhanced shock-resistant features.
And most importantly, the 15 model received Dynamic Island instead of the "bangs" with the True Depth camera, sensor. The main advantage is interactivity, the flagship feature allows you to control applications and even make calls. The size of the "island" changes depending on the task being performed. If no actions are taken, it is small, but as soon as interaction begins, it increases.
And finally, the base model has received a USB port instead of the "morally" outdated Lightning.
