If you want the most powerful and high-performance laptop available today, consider the MacBook Early 2025 (Air 15 with M4). Thanks to the new chipset, tasks are completed significantly faster than on previous models. 3D modeling and video editing are now smooth, fast, and effortless.
Description
Main specifications:
- 10-core M4 chipset;
- 10-core GPU;
- 16-core neural engine;
- RAM from 16 to 32 GB;
- Storage from 256 GB up to 2 TB.
Compared to last year’s M3 model, which already had strong performance and positive reviews, the new model features a 10-core processor instead of 8 cores, and the base frequency has increased to 4.41 GHz (up from 4.05 GHz). The GPU boost frequency also improved, reaching 1800 MHz versus 1600 MHz previously. Memory speed increased from 6.4 Gbps to 7.5 Gbps.
RAM has been upgraded from LPDDR5 to LPDDR5X, with a higher frequency of 7500 MHz versus 6400 MHz. Other specifications remain similar: passive cooling system, same type of SSD storage (M2), etc.
The battery remains at 66.5 Wh, with fast charging support up to 70 W.
Display and Exterior
The chassis is unchanged, still made from recycled aluminum. Color options: gold, silver, black, and blue. Dimensions and weight remain the same: 34.04 × 23.76 cm, 11.5 mm thick, and weighing 1.51 kg.
The display also remains 15.3 inches, with a resolution of 2880 × 1864, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and an IPS LCD panel. Maximum brightness is 500 nits, with a glossy anti-reflective coating.
Additional Features
The new model received an improved webcam with 12 MP resolution (up from 1080p in the previous model).
With the new processor and Thunderbolt 4 ports, it is possible to connect two external monitors while still using the built-in laptop display simultaneously. The previous generation allowed two external monitors, but the built-in display could not be used at the same time.
While these improvements may not seem critical to all users, anyone upgrading from an M1 or M2 MacBook should strongly consider the 2025 model.
