The American company Google is a global leader in internet services and products. However, the company also releases smartphones, commonly known as "Pixel phones." After the release of the first models, a myth spread that the company aimed to rival the iPhone. Today, it is clear that Google smartphones are premium devices running Android, with ongoing security and OS support, excellent cameras, and functionality.
Cameras
The first feature that sets Google devices apart from competitors is their top-level cameras. This is confirmed by the ratings from DxOMark, a company that evaluates phone camera capabilities. Photos always receive good exposure and accurately render colors, even skin tones. The camera provides high detail in outdoor conditions.
Additionally, there are built-in features to enhance photo quality. For example, the Google Photos app is equipped with AI tools that allow you to adjust the background, improve sharpness, and remove unwanted elements from photos.
Design and Protection
In terms of design, Pixels are unmistakable and unique among smartphones from other manufacturers. Google phones truly have their own "face." The materials used for the body and display are always of the highest quality. If there's protective glass, it’s always the latest version from Corning. The frames are made exclusively of aluminum, and the screen has a slight curve, allowing the phone to fit comfortably in the hand, even with a large diagonal. There are no camera bumps on the back panel, making it convenient to use the phone even without a case.
Regarding dust and moisture protection, Pixel phones always have an IP68 rating.
Operating System
Pixel phones come with a clean version of Android. On one hand, the OS lacks additional features, but on the other hand, it's better to have the latest clean version of the OS than a previous, unfinished version from competitors.
Additionally, the manufacturer offers extended support. Pixel users are the first to receive the latest OS version and support for at least 5 years, while competitors offer a maximum of 2-3 years.
Voice Features
Another feature where Google excels is machine translation. This applies not only to texts but also to voice input, audio recognition, and even during conversations. Competitors are also making efforts, but Pixel currently has the best performance in this area.
Sales of Google phones worldwide are low. It can be said that it is a club for those consumers who appreciate high-quality smartphones.
