Google Pixel tablets - deals availability now

Tablet computers have a long history. The first ideas for creating a tablet appeared with Alan Kay in 1968. He even managed to present the Dynabook tablet in 1972. In terms of specifications, it was far from modern devices. However, the device’s functionality was so limited that the technology faded into obscurity for 15 years.

In 1987, Apple began developing its own tablet but only released the first model six years later, which was very different from modern devices. At the same time, Acom NewPad entered the market. The company did manage to create a product that went on sale, but production was discontinued after a year. Later, industry giants, including Google, entered the race for the market.

How It All Began

In September 2015, Google introduced its first tablet to users, called the Pixel C. The device had decent specifications compared to competitors at the time, featuring a 10.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1800 pixels. The RAM was 3 GB, and the internal storage options were standard: 32 or 64 GB. The cameras were also decent, with an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera.

Just three years later, a new version called the Pixel Slate appeared. The tablet received improved specifications, even compared to the main market players, featuring a display resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels. RAM options were 4, 8, or 16 GB.

In 2023, Google again released a tablet – the Pixel Tablet. It is a fairly large device with a 10.95-inch screen and a decent processor. It cannot be called a flagship, but it is an affordable tablet suitable for daily use.

Currently, Google is trying a new approach. Its tablets do not aim to replace laptops, unlike other manufacturers. It cannot be said that the company is trying to make the device the most high-tech on the market; it cannot even be connected to an external monitor. On the other hand, Google’s tablets are good and perfectly suitable for everyday office tasks. They are easy to use, and even users unfamiliar with modern technology can manage. The tablet is suitable for watching videos, browsing the internet, and running simple games and applications.
