Differences Apple iPad 10 (2022) from the other Ipad?
The iPad 10 model, released in 2022, is also called the 10th-anniversary model. In colloquial terms, the device is also referred to as a simplified version of the iPad Air, which is quite logical, since the 10th model has practically the same design and many similar technical characteristics.
Key Changes
The model received the following updates and changes:
- updated design and dimensional sizes;
- wider color gamut;
- powerful chipset and increased RAM capacity;
- updated connectors, battery;
- improved range of main camera functions.
Moreover, the tablet began to support new accessories. The 2022 version started supporting the Magic KeyBoard Folio. This is an updated keyboard with a convenient trackpad, when combined with the tablet, the device resembles a real laptop. The tablet also supports working with the Apple Pencil 1st generation.
Performance
The 2020 release iPad 10 received an updated A14 chipset, while the 9th model had only A13. Despite the fact that the A14 is not a novelty, the processor easily copes with all tasks.
In addition to the new chipset, the 10th version received 4 GB of RAM, while the 9th had only 3 GB. At first glance, it may seem that 1 GB will not affect the power, but this is a deceptive opinion. The tablet handles modern games and heavy, energy-intensive applications more easily and faster.
Internal storage remains the same as in the 9th version: 64 GB or 256 GB.
Display and Design
Comparing the 10th and 9th versions, the screen has undergone almost no changes. Only the diagonal has increased to 10.9 inches and the resolution to 2360x1640 pixels. The Retina IPS screen provides a vibrant and bright picture, supports sRGB and True Tone. Thanks to the oleophobic coating, fingerprints are almost invisible on the screen.
The design of the device has undergone significant changes. Its edges are chamfered, so the tablet now looks elegant and at the same time strict. The bezels around the entire screen are of the same size. The 10th version lacks the "Home" button.
The front camera is now located on the long side of the frame and has a horizontal orientation. The buttons remain in their old place, and the speakers are now located on both sides of the device, not next to each other as in the predecessor.
The manufacturer has tried to expand the color range as much as possible, now there is pink, yellow, silver, and blue.
Despite being categorized as a budget-friendly entry-level series, the iPad 10 looks attractive and trendy. It has received a decent processor that can easily handle everyday tasks.
