In the spring of 2025, Chinese company Xiaomi presented the updated Mi 15 series of camera-focused smartphones, with the Ultra being the flagship and top version. It features a stylish design with an emphasis on the camera, expanded capabilities, high-quality sound, and top-tier performance.
Specifications
Build:
- 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
- RAM options of 12 or 16 GB (LPDDR 5X)
- Storage from 256 GB to 1 TB (UFS 4.1)
- Android 15 with manufacturer’s HyperOS 2.0 skin
Overall, the manufacturer did not skimp on hardware across the 2025 smartphone lineup. All metrics are the same for the base, Pro, and Ultra versions, with the only difference being the storage format in the Ultra: UFS 4.1 instead of 4.0.
The battery is 6,000 mAh, while the base version has only 5,400 mAh. The charging block, like all 2025 series devices, is rated at 90 W, with reversible charging at 10 W. Wireless charging is 80 W compared to 50 W in other Mi 15 models.
Display
The device features an AMOLED display with a 6.73-inch diagonal, same as the Pro version, with Quad HD+ resolution of 1440 × 3200 pixels. The base version has a smaller 6.36-inch screen with 1200 × 2670 pixels. Other metrics remain at top-tier levels as in the predecessor. Refresh rate is 120 Hz, with peak brightness reaching 3200 nits.
Cameras
The gadget received an unprecedented set of rear cameras:
- Main 50 MP camera with 23 mm sensor, 2-pixel PDAF;
- Telephoto 50 MP camera with 70 mm sensor, 3× optical zoom;
- Periscope telephoto 200 MP camera with 100 mm sensor, 2-pixel PDAF, 4.3× optical zoom;
- Ultra-wide 50 MP camera with 14 mm sensor, 2-pixel PDAF, 115° field of view, and 8K video recording capability.
None of the other Mi 15 series models include a periscope telephoto lens.
The front camera, as in all series models, has a resolution of 32 MP. Video recording is limited to 4K.
Appearance
Dimensions are the same as the Pro version: 161.3 × 75.3 mm, with a thickness of 8.4 mm. However, the weight is slightly higher than the smaller version—229 g versus 213 g—due to the additional camera. All series models have high-level water resistance rated at IP68.
The back panel is made of plastic, the frame is metal, and the front is glass. The corners of the body are slightly rounded. The cameras are placed in a “doughnut-shaped” block in the center of the upper rear part of the device.
The Mi 15 Ultra features a top-tier chipset, a high-end camera setup for photography, a bright display, and a powerful processor.
