At the end of 2023, a worthy budget model from the South Korean manufacturer Samsung - Galaxy A25. The smartphone turned out to be quite powerful yet affordable, with good software, a good display, and cameras.
The gadget received a proprietary processor – Exynos 1280. An equivalent chipset was also used in a few older models – A 53 and A33. For a mid-budget device, it handles all processes well without significant lag or overheating.
You can choose the amount of RAM – 6 or 8 GB. The storage size is also available as always – 128 or 255 GB. Thanks to the hybrid slot, you can expand the storage with a memory card, but you’ll have to choose between another SIM card and a memory card.
The smartphone’s body is made of plastic but looks high-quality and expensive due to its matte finish and fine-textured grid. The side edges have slight curves. On the right side, there are two buttons: power and volume, with a fingerprint scanner in the middle. On the left side is the hybrid slot. At the bottom are the headphone and power ports, microphone, and speakers.
The color scheme has changed slightly, specifically, the red and green shades are gone, but yellow has appeared. Black and blue are retained.
The A25 model features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, just like the A24 version. At its peak, brightness reaches 1000 nits. In other words, the display remains the same as in the A24 model.
Many users will appreciate that the manufacturer has retained the Always-On Display feature. This means that even on a locked screen, you can read notifications, albeit in a truncated version.
The main rear camera module has not changed. It still has 50 MP with a resolution of 8160x6120. There are no significant changes compared to the A24 model, but the A25 can now shoot 4K video at up to 30 fps. Slow-motion shooting has also become available – up to 240 fps, whereas the A24 only had up to 120 fps.
The ultra-wide camera received 3 MP more and now has 8 MP. The front camera retained its 13 MP, but the resolution increased to 4160 x 3120, compared to 4128 x 3096 in its predecessor.
There have also been improvements to the speakers, which are now stereo, but the A25 has lost FM radio.
The company Samsung has done everything to release a balanced smartphone that can even replace an “older brother,” such as the A53. Moreover, the manufacturer frequently sends updates, which always positively affects the optimization of processes in smartphones that have been released for some time.
