One of the divisions of the Chinese company BBK Electronics specializes in producing flagship smartphones released under the OnePlus brand. Phones from this brand always feature the latest hardware, excellent design, and offer the best price-to-quality ratio.
The OnePlus 12 model was released in 2023 and features the most advanced solutions currently available, making the smartphone a powerful device with high brightness, top-notch cameras, and other features.
Specifications
The phone features the top processor available at the time of its release – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chipset operates on 8 cores with a frequency ranging from 2.3 to 3.3 GHz. The GPU is also advanced – the Adreno 750.
As usual, the manufacturer offers various memory options: 12, 16, or 24 GB of RAM. The same applies to storage – 256, 512 GB, or a whole 1 TB. There is no support for memory cards.
The battery capacity is 5400 mAh. The maximum charging power is 100 W.
Display
The smartphone features a large display with a diagonal of 6.82 inches. The matrix is LTPO Fluid AMOLED with a resolution of 3268 x 1440 pixels. The screen dynamically adjusts its refresh rate, which ranges from 1 to 120 Hz depending on the content.
The display protection is also the most advanced at the time of the smartphone's release – Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the screen.
The display delivers excellent picture quality regardless of external conditions, with a constant brightness level of 1600 cd/m2 and a peak brightness of 4500 cd/m2. High brightness allows for perfect HDR video.
Cameras
The rear cameras are housed in a single module and have the following specifications:
main 50 MP from Sony – LYTIA-t808;
64 MP zoom camera;
48 MP wide-angle, with a viewing angle of up to 114 degrees.
All three cameras use a Quad Bayer configuration and produce default images with resolutions of 12, 12.5, or 16 MP. To capture images at the maximum resolution, you need to switch to a special mode.
The cameras allow recording video at a maximum resolution of 8K.
The front camera has a resolution of 32 MP. It features portrait mode, retouching, and background blur.
Design
Due to the large display, the body is quite bulky, but the situation is mitigated by the beveled edges. The phone is reasonably thick – 9.2 mm. The weight of the device is 220 grams.
Overall, the device is quite good, with a fantastic large and bright screen, excellent performance and power, and 3 cameras that take high-quality photos and videos.
