The entry-level model of Nothing's budget line, the Phone (3a), was introduced in spring 2025. The smartphone retains the appearance of its predecessor but received a number of improvements and interesting “features.”

The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports 50W fast wired charging. The phone also supports 5G networks. The manufacturer guarantees software updates for 6 years.

Display and Design

The smartphone features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1000 × 2392 pixels. Peak brightness reaches 3000 nits. The predecessor had a 6.7-inch display.

Weight is 201 grams. Dimensions: 16.35 × 7.75 cm, thickness 8.4 mm.

Compared to last year’s version — Phone (2a) — the design has changed very little. However, due to the larger display, the phone has become wider, bigger, and thicker.

The buttons are still placed on different sides: left for volume control, right for device activation. Additionally, the new model has a third button for quick voice messages, screenshots, and notes. It is located below the power button.

The design is striking — a transparent back cover with Glyph lighting. Unlike its predecessor, which had LEDs covering the entire back, the new model has only 26 LEDs placed near the cameras. Nevertheless, it looks stylish and original.

On the front, the bezels are relatively wide, about 2 mm, but they are symmetrical, which makes them visually pleasant.

Cameras

The rear houses a main 50 MP camera with 2x optical zoom, a 50 MP telephoto lens, and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. The front camera is 32 MP. Compared to its predecessor, which lacked a telephoto lens, the new trio delivers good quality shots with fine detail and minimal noise. The main camera can record video at up to 4K at 30 fps. The selfie camera records only in Full HD but allows selecting frame rates between 30 and 60 fps.
