In 2024, Apple significantly raised the stakes in the laptop market. The M4 series processors provide top-tier performance, making these devices stand out compared to competitors. The M4 Max chipset offers maximum possible performance.
General Specifications

The M4 Max processor allows RAM expansion up to 128 GB, which is unprecedented in the market. It also received 2 additional cores, significantly increasing performance. While energy consumption rises, it reaches only 50 W under maximum load, compared to 46 W for the Pro version, despite having fewer cores.
Device weight: 2.149 kg; thickness: 16.8 mm; dimensions: 24.8 × 35.57 cm. Battery capacity: 100 Wh.
The laptop supports three power modes:
- Low;
- Automatic (default);
- High Performance.
Compared to the M3 Max, the MacBook now offers up to 18 hours of uninterrupted battery life.
Display and Other Features
The MacBook Late Pro 16 features a 16-inch display with a resolution of 3456 × 2234 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Like the M4 Pro version, it has the same recycled aluminum design. Thunderbolt 5 support allows data transfer speeds up to 120 Gbps.
Unlike other models in the series, the MacBook Late can connect up to 4 external displays, though only 2 can be actively managed.
The cooling system is similar to the Pro version, with a maximum noise level of 42.2 dB. Peak temperatures reach 43°C only in localized areas.
Both front and rear cameras are 12 MP, significantly improved from previous years. Backlit keyboard and fingerprint scanner are retained.
The MacBook Late Pro 16 M4 Max is ideal for users requiring the highest performance. It handles 8K video editing, 3D graphics rendering, and complex animation creation with ease. The chipset allows for multitasking, and the laptop has ample RAM and storage to support demanding workloads.
