Almost everyone owns a laptop. It could be a super-powerful machine or just a portable gadget for watching videos. If you belong to the first category, the MacBook Late Pro 14 with M4 (2024 release) will definitely appeal to you. This laptop easily handles high-performance software and demanding games.
General specifications:
The laptop features the advanced M4 processor. Its predecessor used the M1 Pro, which is now outdated. The updated processor allows not only 4K and 8K video recording but also editing. It can run multiple programs simultaneously, create 3D graphics, and handle complex animations. The base frequency of the previous processor was only 3.2 GHz.
Battery capacity is 72.4 Wh, a lithium-polymer unit with fast charging up to 96 W, reaching full charge in 1 hour and 30 minutes. In comparison, the 2021 M14 model took 2.3 hours for full charge.
The laptop has an active cooling system. The fan runs at 7,800 RPM, compared to 6,241 RPM in the predecessor, while noise is reduced to 44.5 dB from 49.5 dB in the 2021 model.
The Late Pro 14, like the Pro 14, features a 14.2-inch display with a resolution of 3,024 x 1,964 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen is glossy and anti-reflective. Touch functionality is absent. Peak brightness has doubled from 500 to 1,000 nits.
The updated version comes in two colors: Space Black and Silver. The predecessor had only one color—Space Gray. Both models are made of recycled aluminum. Dimensions are identical: 312.6 x 221.2 x 15.5 mm. The weight is slightly reduced to 1.55 kg from 1.6 kg.
The trackpad surface is glass, and the keyboard has island-style keys. There is no numeric keypad. The laptop has three studio-quality microphones, and both cameras have a resolution of 12 MP.
The MacBook Late Pro 14 with M4 is significantly more powerful than its predecessor. The display is brighter, the battery has higher capacity, and charging is faster.
