Alongside its flagship model, Sony has announced its latest mid-range smartphone — Xperia 10 V. It's the world's lightest smartphone with a 5000 mAh battery available on the market, weighing only 159 g.
Sony Xperia 10 V retains the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 single-chip system with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, just like the Xperia 10 IV. You can expand the storage using a MicroSD card.
The OLED display has a 1080p resolution and a 6.1-inch diagonal, which, according to Sony, is 1.5 times brighter than its predecessor. However, it still supports a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz, which seems unusual even for mid-range smartphones in 2023. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, but the back and frame are made of plastic.
Sony Xperia 10 V features a 48-megapixel sensor with an optical format of 1/2 inch and 0.8μm pixels, along with an F/1.8 lens with optical image stabilization. The smartphone also has an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, both equipped with F/2.2 aperture lenses. There's also an additional 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
Sony Xperia 10 V is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that promises to retain at least 80% of its capacity after three years. The charging power is not disclosed.
The smartphone has IP65/68 water and dust resistance, a 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-Res audio support, and front stereo speakers.
