The youngest member of the Huawei Mate 50 smartphone family is the Mate 50E model, which features a less powerful Qualcomm platform and the proprietary Harmony OS 3.0 operating system.
The heart of the device is the Snapdragon 778G 4G processor, which includes eight Kryo 670 cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz and an Adreno 642L graphics accelerator. It does not support 5G networks. The chip is paired with 8 GB of RAM.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2700 × 1224 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and the ability to reproduce 1.07 billion color shades. The front camera, located in a small punch-hole, has a resolution of 13 million pixels. A fingerprint scanner is integrated into the screen area.
The Huawei Mate 50E model, like its older siblings, is equipped with a rear camera system using XMAGE technology, designed to maximize detail and color reproduction. It combines a 50 MP module with a variable aperture (f/1.4–f/4.0) and optical stabilization, as well as a 13 MP wide-angle module.
Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, stereo speakers, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and a 4460 mAh battery with 66W charging support. The satellite messaging feature is not supported in this model.
