Honor has unveiled an enhanced version of its foldable smartphone, the Magic V. The Magic V5 model comes with a more powerful processor, a larger battery, a redesigned camera system, and an updated body design.
The Magic V5's body is made of a magnesium alloy, which has allowed it to achieve a remarkably low weight of 261 grams for a foldable device of this form factor. Additionally, the manufacturer has simplified the hinge mechanism, reducing the number of moving components to four, which has improved its reliability and the smoothness of opening and closing.
On the outside, there's a 6.45-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560x1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of up to 1200 nits, support for HDR10+, and coverage of 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. On the inside, there's a 7.9-inch OLED screen with a 2K+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a brightness of up to 800 nits, HDR10+ support, and a similar color gamut.
