The new smartphones are built on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and feature curved OLED screens manufactured using LTPO technology. The panels have a diagonal of 6.81 inches, a resolution of 2664 x 1224 pixels, a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, and 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage. The Magic 4 Pro features a 12-megapixel front camera supplemented by a second module for depth analysis. In the Magic 4, there is also a 12-megapixel front camera, but without an additional module. Honor notes that the PWM frequency of the Magic 4 screens is 1920 Hz, which is the highest for displays produced using LTPO technology.
The under-display fingerprint scanners are based on Qualcomm's second-generation ultrasonic sensors. The top model is dust and water-resistant according to IP68, while the protection of the younger model is a bit simpler - IP54. Both smartphones run on Android 12 with the proprietary Magic UI 6.0 interface.
The main cameras of both smartphones are very large, and the company calls them "musical eyes." The camera of the Magic 4 Pro consists of four modules. The first one has a 50-megapixel sensor with an optical format of 1/1.56 inches and a wide-angle lens, the second one has a 50-megapixel sensor with an optical format of 1/2.5 inches and an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 122° field of view, the third one has a 64-megapixel sensor with an optical format of 1/2 inch and a periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. Finally, the fourth module is a 3D ToF camera.
In the Honor Magic 4, the two main modules are the same as in the flagship model. The third one has an 8-megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom, and 50x digital zoom. The fourth module is a ToF camera.
The Honor Magic 4 Pro features a 4600mAh battery that supports 100W charging both wired and wirelessly. In the Honor Magic 4, the battery capacity is 4800mAh, and the maximum charging power is 66W. Both models come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of flash memory in the top configuration.
