Galaxy A54 best deals availability now

Together with other models, Samsung introduced consumers to a mid-budget level smartphone - the Galaxy A54. Thanks to innovations, this version of the smartphone has become a serious competitor to most analogs of other manufacturers in this price segment.

General Characteristics

Model A54 has become slightly smaller compared to A53, the screen diagonal is 6.4 inches compared to 6.9 inches. When comparing models with 5G, the A53 model has a diagonal of 6.5 inches, while the A54 model has 6.4 inches.

Both versions have an Amoled screen, with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Changes have been made to the screen brightness, which is now 1000 nits compared to 800. Therefore, it is easier to use the device in bright lighting. The screen resolution has also increased and is now 1080 x 2400 pixels compared to 720x1600 pixels in the predecessor.

The key difference in design is the glass back panel in the updated model, with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, while the predecessor has a plastic back panel. The cameras have also changed their layout style, now they are arranged the same as the S series phones.

The location of the card slot has been changed, now it is at the top, while in the predecessor it was at the bottom. In both cases, the fingerprint scanner is embedded in the screen. The weight has changed slightly due to the change in components, now the smartphone weighs 202 grams instead of 189. The front part remains unchanged.

Changes did not affect the selfie camera, it received a resolution of 32 MP.

The main camera has also changed, the resolution has decreased to 48 MP, compared to 50 MP in the predecessor. However, due to the reduction in the pixel size of the sensor to 0.8 μm from 1.0 μm, photos become more "juicy", saturated, and bright compared to the predecessor. The other cameras remain at the same level.

Technical Specifications

The A54 version received an updated processor, in-house Samsung – Exynos 1380. The predecessor had the 1280 version. Although the predecessor's chipset handled everyday tasks decently, the manufacturer took into account the problems users could encounter and practically eliminated all of them. The processor became more powerful and efficient.

The RAM capacity remains unchanged, you can choose 6 or 8 GB.

The battery capacity of both models is the same – 5000 mAh. However, the manufacturer assures that due to the energy-efficient chipset, the battery life of the A54 version has increased.

Overall, the device turned out to be powerful, affordable, and with an interesting design.
