Differences Apple iPhone 14 Plus from the previous model?
In 2022, Apple introduced 4 new models of the 14 series to its consumers. One of the highlights of this presentation was the iPhone 14 Plus version. It's a phone with a large screen, modern design, and great power.
External Characteristics
The first thing that catches the eye is the display size. The model now boasts 6.7 inches, with aluminum frames along the edges. It features a Super Retina HDR display with Ceramic Shield protective glass, effectively protecting it from minor falls. The screen-to-body ratio has increased to 87.4% compared to the predecessor (86%).
The second noticeable feature is the resolution of 2778x1284 pixels. For example, the 13 model had a resolution of only 1170x2532 pixels.
According to tests, the display response time has also been reduced to 5 ms, compared to 7.5 ms in the predecessor.
The color palette is pleasant: purple, red, black, white, and blue.
The phone's dust and water resistance is high - IP68, meaning it can be submerged to a depth of 6 meters and kept there for up to 30 minutes. Naturally, this is not an invitation for experiments, but the phone certainly isn't afraid of rain or snow.
Performance and Technical Specifications
The 14+ model features the A15 processor, which isn't groundbreaking since even the 13 version had the same chipset. However, it comes with more RAM - 6 GB compared to 4 GB.
The battery capacity is pleasantly surprising at 4325 mAh, which is 1098 mAh more than the 13 model. The manufacturer claims that this capacity is sufficient for 20 hours of video streaming, 100 hours of audiobook or music playback, and 20 hours of movie watching. It's nice that fast charging remains at 20W, allowing the phone to charge up to 50% in just 30 minutes.
The communication specifications for both phones are the same; however, the 14 model features Bluetooth 5.3, improving connection stability with gadgets.
Cameras
The rear cameras of both phones are the same, with a 12 MP sensor for each camera and a resolution of 4032 x 3024. They feature optical stabilization and digital zoom. The selfie camera is also 12 MP. However, the aperture of the 14 model has been reduced to f/1.9 compared to the 13 phones, which had f/2.2. Consequently, the lens opens wider, allowing more light onto the sensor. As a result, photos have greater depth of field.
The smartphone will definitely appeal to those who like a large screen, unparalleled performance, and optimal battery life.
